Wylie High school, located at 4502 Antilley Road, is a 4A school. Founded in 1902, it started out as a private school but became public only one year after opening in 1903. It is a part of Wylie ISD with bulldogs as the mascot. It has over 900 students as of 2012. The school results as a consolidation of Neill, Iberis and some of the Buffalo Gap students. In 2008, it was named a National Blue Ribbon School. It has a 14 percent participation rate in advanced placement classes and an excellent and highly awarded sports program.
