Home Staging
Hi, my name is Alyssa Presley and I am the marketing coordinator here at Stovall, Realtors. I just want to give you a little bit of insight on what you can do to stage your home. Then it is in its best lighting for the real estate photographer or myself, and then the agents can upload them online and list your home.
De-Clutter
I have four suggestions, and the first one is de-clutter your home. Just put things away, tidy it up, might have to take some extra stuff to clear it off tables or countertops. Just put them in a box, put them up in a closet, because less is more and it helps the homebuyers to see how they can envision themselves in the home.
Depersonalize
And that’s another thing, to depersonalize. I would suggest taking down family photos or even the drawings kids will put on the refrigerator. Put it up in a box, store away just for a little bit while the real estate photographer is there and get the home in its best lighting.
Seasonal Decorating
I know we’ll have seasons come around, so that’s the third thing, seasonal decorating. I would suggest taking all those decorations down, just temporarily, so you don’t see Thanksgiving photos in February.
Make it Sparkle
The last suggestion I have is to make it sparkle. Not only tidy up, but clean up, make those countertops sparkle and wipe down windows. I would suggest to clean up the ceiling fans because there’s always dust on top of those ceiling fans, every time I take pictures. So I suggest looking at that too.
Those are my four suggestions for you and real estate photography and staging your home! Hope you have a good rest of your day, and thanks for watching!
