I have been asked this question, in a variety of forms, throughout my career, “Should I stage my home??” And to be honest, the short answer, is yes. But what that means might vary from person to person. Just like no two homes are alike, the level and style of staging might be different from one listing to another. There are a few key tips to remember when staging a home, and we will address those here.
Remember that less is normally “more” when it come to furniture (especially large or bulky pieces). That doesn’t mean though that totally empty homes show better. In fact, I often feel that is the opposite of true and that many buyers like to see where items might be placed and how rooms could be utilized without detracting from the size of the room.
Colors can also make a huge difference (and the overall cost is not normally too expensive). Neutral and lighter colors show well and the lighter and brighter a space is, the more open it may feel to a potential buyer.
All of this is to say, you need an excellent and trained real estate professional who can guide you when you are making home-staging decisions! Call us today at 325-691-1410 BHHS Stovall, REALTORS®
